In April, 2023, the Bowen Island Food Resilience Society and the Bowen Island Public Library partnered to present two  Earth Month Talks, filled with information, reasons for optimism, and ideas for building a healthy, safe, and resilient world.

The featured speakers were Dr. Phil Gregory, presenting on April 22, and Dr. Charles McNeill, presenting on April 29.

The topic of Dr. Gregory's talk was: Resilient Bowen Island: Helping to Build a Resilient Food System.

Dr. McNeill's topic was: Climate Change, Biodiversity, and the Future of Food: A Global Perspective to Inform Local Action.
